Our Story
HELITRANS is the cornerstone of Scandinavian Aerospace and was established in 1990 as a pure helicopter company with its main base located at Trondheim Airport Værnes. For over 30 years, we have been dedicated to providing our clients, both domestic and international, with professional and reliable helicopter services. Our extensive experience and knowledge in the field have made us one of the leading providers of helicopter services in the Kingdom of Norway.
In 2022, we expanded our offerings by launching management services for business jets and a running flight academy in Stockholm, Sweden. The flight academy is specifically designed to provide training for pilots, both for airlines and helicopters. This allows us to continue to provide our clients with the highest level of service and ensure that we are always at the forefront of the industry.
We have bases spread across the country, which allows us to provide our services to clients in various locations. This also makes us the largest inland helicopter company in Norway, with over 100 employees including administration, and more than 1200 years of combined aviation experience among our team.
We take great pride in maintaining our own fleet, which is why we have our own approved technical department that carries out all service and maintenance on our machines, ensuring their airworthiness at all times. Our technical department also has its own warehouse and logistics department to ensure that we have access to the necessary spare parts to keep our fleet in top condition.
We understand the importance of training and strive to provide our clients with the best possible service. In addition to providing services, we also offer training for loaders and pilots. Our training program includes the use of 2 of the world’s first VR helicopter flight simulators, which allows our trainees to experience realistic simulations of flying. As one of Norway’s largest operators, we take our training responsibilities seriously and see it as an essential part of our service offerings.
